We endeavour to have a good selection of violins for sale to suit players of all levels.

Student instruments (new outfits from £220 and secondhand from £165)
Our starter violin, Stentor 2 is upgraded in our workshops to include improved strings (Red Label/steel cored or Dominant), Wittner light alloy tailpiece, new bridge and soundpost and refitted nut and pegs. New and secondhand instruments in all sizes, subject to availability.

Mature European small sized violins
Particularly ¾ sized. Priced from £500/600 upwards.

Suitable for progressing students (£450 – £1,000)

Both contemporary and mature examples from £1,000 to circa £10,000 to suit amateur players, advanced students, teachers and professional players. Particularly featuring English violins – examples by Elspeth and Christopher Rowe (£3,500 - £6,000).

If provided with background information we are usually happy to give impartial advice on your own instrument or one that you may be considering.

Instruments and bows may be tried in our playing room and full approval facilities are available. We ask that before visiting us you ring first to discuss your requirements.
